A new Special Issue of Sensors

We are delighted to announce that our Chief Technology Officer, Luca Ascari, has been appointed as the editor for the upcoming Special Issue of Sensors, dedicated to “Wearable Sensors for Human Health Monitoring in Clinical and Ecologic Scenarios“.

In the face of numerous challenges threatening the health and wellbeing of people worldwide, it is imperative to champion the fundamental right to health.

This academic pursuit revolves around wearables transitioning from controlled laboratory settings to real-world applications, particularly emphasising their role in healthcare and/or wellbeing contexts.

The scope of this Special Issue concerns multimodal systems designed for the assessment of physical, cognitive, and emotional aspects.

Additionally, the objective is to delve into the intersection of wearables with AI technologies, often termed as Edge AI. This includes an examination of the ethical implications and regulatory frameworks, such as the EU AI act.

The deadline for submissions is September 30th, 2024. We look forward to receiving high-quality original research papers as well as review articles for consideration.
